Arab Parliament Welcomes UN Report on Israeli Crimes in Gaza
The Arab Parliament welcomed a recent report by the United Nations Independent International Commission of Inquiry on the Occupied Palestinian Territory, which concluded that the Israeli occupation committed serious crimes, including genocide, against Palestinian civilians in the Gaza Strip, emphasizing that these acts constitute a grave violation of international humanitarian law.
Arab Parliament Speaker Mohammed Al Yamahi stated that the report constitutes a new and clear condemnation of the occupation's brutal practices against Palestinians, particularly women, children, and the elderly, who have suffered from blockade, starvation, and aggression.
Al Yamahi urged the international community to move beyond merely documenting these crimes and to take serious, binding action. He called for the enforcement of international resolutions, the implementation of a two-state solution, and for the occupation’s leaders to be held accountable as war criminals before the International Criminal Court.
He reiterated the Arab Parliament's call for urgent action to protect the Palestinian people and support their right to self-determination and the establishment of an independent, sovereign state.
