Rafha's Volunteer Efforts Showcase National Commitment to Community Service

Volunteer work in the Kingdom embodies one of the highest forms of national giving and serves as a cornerstone for boosting belonging and community participation. This is evident in the efforts of nonprofit associations, which have expanded their initiatives and programs in line with Saudi Vision 2030, where volunteerism is a central pillar of sustainable development.
In Rafha, one organization has executed diverse programs, including a walking event with 30 volunteers, an iftar program with over 250 participants, and International Volunteer Day activities documenting about 65,000 volunteer hours. Other initiatives included mosque incense activities with 20 volunteers, and a winter clothing distribution campaign with 30 volunteers.
Another organization has enhanced the volunteer landscape by listing 47 opportunities on the National Volunteer Portal. Initiatives included Founding Day activities, a heritage costume contest, career guidance sessions, and health-focused walking programs, with 92 volunteers contributing over 3,044 hours of service.
Additional humanitarian and outreach efforts, such as 'Gift to the Patient,' 'Gift to the Traveler,' and the distribution of more than 7,000 educational materials, engaged 1,105 volunteers who provided 11,491 hours of service. Another association implemented 35 volunteer opportunities, involving 259 participants who recorded 3,771 hours in various fields.
This momentum reflects the values of generosity embedded in the Kingdom’s citizens and emphasizes that volunteerism is a national and humanitarian mission. It embodies the bond between leadership and people and aligns with Saudi Vision 2030’s ambitious target of reaching one million volunteers by the end of 2030.
