GAFT Enhances Trade Ecosystem Awareness of Trade Policies, Saudi Negotiating Team's Role
The General Authority of Foreign Trade (GAFT), in cooperation with the Ministry of Commerce, organized a workshop on Tuesday titled "Introduction to the World Trade Organization, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia’s Trade Policies and the Saudi Negotiating Team." Held at the Ministry of Commerce headquarters in Riyadh, the workshop brought together 25 representatives from the trade ecosystem.
The workshop raised awareness of Saudi Arabia’s foreign trade obligations, including its commitments under the World Trade Organization and related developments. It also addressed the Kingdom's international trade policies and the roles and responsibilities of the technical teams under the Saudi Negotiating Team.
The workshop is part of GAFT’s ongoing efforts to raise government entities’ awareness of international trade. These efforts contribute to strengthening the Kingdom’s presence in global trade and safeguarding its interests.
The event is also part of a series of workshops recently organized by GAFT, the national authority responsible for developing the Kingdom’s foreign trade policies and strategies.
