Al-Baha's Mural Project Blends Artistry, Agriculture
The concept of decorating walls with plants in the Al-Baha region reflects the deep-rooted connection between the local people and their agricultural heritage.
A prime example is a stunning mural at the entrance of Al-Dhafir District on King Abdulaziz Road. This 170-meter-long, 12-meter-high masterpiece incorporates over 70,000 seedlings from 20 different plant species, irrigated by a 4,000-meter irrigation system. The mural is also adorned with various lighting fixtures that complement its surroundings and theme.
The creation of unique sculptures not only enhances the region's visual appeal but also strengthens its agricultural identity. The municipality has undertaken numerous beautification projects, including the installation of 195 sculptures, 43 roundabouts, 139 walkways, 179 gardens, and 57 plazas across the region.
