Mayor of Riyadh Region Meets with UN-Habitat Director

Mayor of Riyadh Region Prince Dr. Faisal bin Abdulaziz bin Ayyaf, who is leading the Saudi delegation at the 12th World Urban Forum (WUF12) in Cairo, met with United Nations Human Settlements Program (UN-Habitat) Executive Director Anaclلudia Rossbach.

 During the meeting, the two sides discussed topics of mutual interest, including the implementation of sustainable urban development concepts.

 Prince Faisal commended the efforts of the United Nations and the host country for ensuring the success of the forum, which addresses important issues related to the development of urban planning methods and city growth amid rapid changes.

 Rossbach expressed her appreciation for Saudi Arabia’s participation in the forum, commending the Kingdom’s distinctive urban initiatives and projects.

 The Saudi pavilion at the forum has received the highest number of visitors, about 35,000 daily.
