RGA Affirms the Importance of Adhering to Traffic Safety Rules During Mid-Term Vacation
The Roads General Authority (RGA) has urged all road users in the Kingdom to follow traffic safety rules to ensure safe travel during the mid-term vacation. This initiative aims to improve traffic safety, raise awareness among road users, and reduce the road fatality rate to fewer than five cases per 100,000 people.
The authority emphasized that compliance with safety regulations is critical to protecting road users. It stressed the importance of taking adequate rest before traveling to maintain focus and alertness while driving. Additionally, it advised ensuring that all safety equipment is available in the vehicle, including properly maintained tires and other essential components.
The RGA also highlighted the need to ensure that children are seated in their designated seats for safety and that all passengers wear seat belts. It warned against driving in adverse weather conditions and underscored the dangers of using mobile phones while driving, which can significantly divert attention from the road.
The authority reiterated the importance of adhering to prescribed speed limits to prevent traffic accidents. It extended its wishes for safe journeys and an enjoyable vacation to all road users.
