MODON Signs Tripartite Agreement to Establish AI Center of Excellence for Industrial Digital Transformation
The Saudi Authority for Industrial Cities and Technology Zones (MODON) has signed a tripartite agreement with the consortium of ASAS for Developing and Operating Industrial Cities and Takween IT to establish an artificial intelligence center of excellence. The initiative represents a strategic step to boost digital transformation and develop AI applications in the industrial sector.
The new center will provide advanced solutions and services to support MODON’s plans and those of investors in industrial cities. It will help modernize business models, streamline administrative processes, enhance operational efficiency, and ensure compliance with the best practices, standards, and regulations. The center also seeks to promote a culture of innovation and continuous learning in AI technologies.
This initiative forms part of MODON’s broader efforts to accelerate the adoption of modern technologies in the industrial sector, in line with the National Industrial Strategy and Saudi Vision 2030. It reflects the Kingdom’s commitment to boosting the digital economy and raising the global competitiveness of its industries.
MODON also offers a range of digital and advisory services, including its “Indeal” platform for innovative and secure technology solutions. It also features an open data platform that provides updated industrial data to researchers, as well as an investment opportunities platform to connect investors with prospects in industrial cities. Additionally, MODON provides specialized consultations on the Fourth Industrial Revolution to advance digital transformation, improve the digital maturity of factories, and raise production and operational efficiency. Currently, more than 8,000 industrial establishments operate in 40 industrial cities managed by MODON across the Kingdom.
