AlUla Ready to Host 4th Edition of Desert Polo Championship
The Chairman of the Saudi Polo Federation, Amr Zedan, has announced the six teams participating in the 2025 Richard Mille AlUla Desert Polo Championship.
For the first time, the two-day event is officially accredited by the International Polo Federation. This fourth edition of the championship will take place in AlUla on January 17–18, 2025, in coordination with the Royal Commission for AlUla and in the presence of the President of the International Polo Federation, Piero Dillier.
The participating teams are AlUla, Richard Mille, Dadan, Budget, Bentley, and Ikmah. The matches will be held in Fursan Village and will feature international polo stars, including Adolfo Cambiaso, widely regarded as the greatest player in the history of the sport, and Prince Sultan bin Khalid bin Faisal bin Abdulaziz.
The teams are divided into two groups: Group 1 includes AlUla, Dadan, and Ikmah, while Group 2 features Bentley, Budget, and Richard Mille.
Chairman Amr Zedan stated that Fursan Village is fully prepared to host the players and accommodate the competition, underscoring the continued growth and popularity of polo in Saudi Arabia. He also noted that the fourth edition of the championship has seen significant development and will feature additional activities and entertainment for spectators.
