HRH the Crown Prince Chairs Cabinet Session in Jeddah

His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Crown Prince and Prime Minister, chaired the Cabinet session held today in Jeddah.
 HRH the Crown Prince briefed the Cabinet on the content of the phone call he received from Prime Minister of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif, as well as the outcomes of his meeting with Commander of the US Central Command Admiral Brad Cooper, which included discussions on the latest developments in the region.
 The Cabinet strongly condemned the continued heinous and deliberate attacks by the terrorist Houthi militia against civilians and civilian assets in the Kingdom, affirming that the security of the country and the safety of its territory and assets are a firm and inviolable principle, as is its legitimate right to defend itself and protect its sovereignty, citizens, residents, and vital interests, in accordance with the UN Charter and international law.
 In a statement to the Saudi Press Agency following the session, Minister of Media Salman Al-Dossary said the Cabinet reviewed regional and international developments and Saudi Arabia's ongoing efforts to consolidate peace and security through dialogue and cooperation with the international community to address shared global challenges.
 The Cabinet reviewed the outcomes of Saudi Arabia's participation as an invited state in the 18th BRICS Summit in New Delhi, which underscored the Kingdom's commitment to enhancing engagement with countries worldwide across areas of mutual cooperation, supporting development, stability, and prosperity, as well as the ability of international bodies to fulfill their responsibilities.
 The Cabinet highlighted the Kingdom's statement at the 70th Regular Session of the International Atomic Energy Agency General Conference, emphasizing Saudi Arabia's role as a reliable energy source and active partner in stabilizing global markets, alongside efforts to develop a more diverse and sustainable national energy mix that includes nuclear energy within a robust regulatory framework.
 The minister noted that the Cabinet welcomed participants to the Fourth UNESCO Global Forum on the Ethics of Artificial Intelligence (AI), currently hosted by the Kingdom, reflecting Saudi Arabia's continuous efforts to support multilateral dialogue on emerging technologies and its steadfast commitment to promoting the responsible and ethical use of AI and protecting human values to build an inclusive and sustainable digital future.
 The Cabinet addressed other items on its agenda and issued several decisions, including the following:
 First:
 Authorizing the minister of investment, or a deputy, to discuss and sign a draft memorandum of understanding between the governments of Saudi Arabia and Ireland on cooperation in promoting direct investment.
 Second:
 Approving a headquarters agreement between the Government of Saudi Arabia and the Institute of Internal Auditors.
 Third:
 Approving a memorandum of understanding between the Ministry of Industry and Mineral Resources of Saudi Arabia and the Ministry of Industry and Construction of the Republic of Kazakhstan in the field of mineral resources.
 Fourth:
 Authorizing the chairman of the board of trustees of the King Fahd National Library, or a deputy, to discuss and sign a draft memorandum of understanding for cooperation between the library and the Bahrain Center for Strategic, International and Energy Studies.
 Fifth:
 Authorizing the chairman of the board of directors of the Insurance Authority, or a deputy, to discuss and sign a draft memorandum of understanding between the authority and the Insurance Regulatory Unit of the State of Kuwait on cooperation and information exchange in the fields of insurance and reinsurance.
