Madinah Region Showcases Urban Development Experience at WUF13 in Azerbaijan
Madinah Region is participating as part of the Kingdom’s delegation in the thirteenth session of the World Urban Forum (WUF13), hosted in Baku, Azerbaijan, from May 17 to 22. The participation highlights the Kingdom’s role in shaping the future of sustainable urban development at the global level.
During the forum, Madinah will showcase its experience in developing integrated urban models that redefine housing as a pillar of quality of life and a foundation for building more sustainable, efficient, and human-centered cities.
Mayor of Madinah Region and CEO of Al Madinah Region Development Authority Engineer Fahad Albulihshi is representing the Kingdom and the region at several key events during the forum. He is scheduled to participate in the World Assembly of Local and Regional Governments and several high-level sessions, most notably the Local and Regional Governments Roundtable and a dialogue session on the relationship between climate and housing.
Through this participation, led by the Ministry of Municipalities and Housing, the Kingdom affirms its commitment to supporting international efforts in urban development, strengthening international partnerships, and actively contributing to building a more sustainable and prosperous urban future for communities around the world.
