KSrelief Launches Debris Removal Project in Syria’s Rif Dimashq

King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSrelief), in cooperation with the Syrian Civil Defense (White Helmets), has launched a debris removal and management project in the cities of Douma and Darraya in Syria’s Rif Dimashq Governorate.

The project includes the removal of at least 85,500 cubic meters of debris, including 46,500 cubic meters in Douma and 39,000 cubic meters in Darraya. It also provides a specialized recycling unit capable of converting approximately 30,000 cubic meters of rubble into usable construction materials. The project aims to mitigate the dangers posed by unexploded ordnance and create a safe environment conducive to reconstruction.

It comes as part of Saudi Arabia’s ongoing efforts through KSrelief to alleviate the suffering of the Syrian people, promote a sustainable recovery, and restore life to cities worn down by years of humanitarian crisis.
