Syrian President Meets Minister of Culture in Damascus
Syrian Arab Republic President Ahmed al-Sharaa met on Thursday at the Conference Palace in Damascus with Saudi Minister of Culture Prince Bader bin Abdullah bin Farhan. The meeting took place on the sidelines of the opening ceremony of the Damascus International Book Fair 2026, where the Kingdom is the Guest of Honor.
At the outset of the meeting, the Minister of Culture conveyed the greetings of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud and His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Crown Prince and Prime Minister, to the Syrian president, along with their sincere wishes for his continued health and well-being, and for the Syrian Arab Republic and its people continued progress and prosperity. He also congratulated the president on hosting the Damascus International Book Fair 2026.
The meeting underscored the depth of the fraternal relations between the two countries and the importance of strengthening cultural cooperation.
The meeting was attended on the Saudi side by Advisor at the Royal Court Mohammed Al-Tuwaijri, along with other officials.
