
TGA Conducts Over 219,000 Transport Inspections in Makkah, Madinah
The Transport General Authority (TGA), in collaboration with relevant agencies, has heightened its inspection activities in Makkah and Madinah as part of the ongoing preparations for the upcoming Hajj season. Between Dhu al-Qi'dah 1 and Dhu al-Hijjah 1, TGA teams conducted over 219,772 inspections of transportation activities. These efforts resulted in the identification of more than 20,429 violations, with another 5,996 violations captured through automated monitoring systems.
These efforts are part of the TGA's ongoing commitment to ensuring safe and reliable transportation services for pilgrims during the Hajj season while enforcing compliance with approved regulations.
The TGA reported that violations detected included instances of unlicensed drivers, non-compliance with official uniform requirements, unauthorized transport operations, and operation of freight vehicles without valid operating cards.
