HPE Powers Saudi Localization with Expansion of its 'Saudi Made' Portfolio
Manufactured in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, HPE's 'Saudi Made' server portfolio is fostering new local manufacturing and innovation capabilities and creating highly skilled jobs, together with training and development opportunities, for Saudi nationals.
In a demonstration of HPE's commitment to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, last year the multinational IT company launched its 'Saudi Made' server portfolio in partnership with local manufacturer alfanar. Following millions of dollars of investment, its market-leading HPE ProLiant servers, carrying the ‘Saudi Tech’ logo, are now being manufactured in a new, dedicated facility in Riyadh, that employs a majority female workforce.
Directly supporting the Kingdom's Vision 2030 objectives, the local production of HPE ProLiant servers not only powers local manufacturing and innovation capabilities and creates employment opportunities for Saudi citizens, but their production meets the growing demand for robust digital infrastructure as the Kingdom fulfils its ambition to become a global leader in data-driven economies.
Now, HPE has added two new servers to its 'Saudi Made' portfolio, the HPE ProLiant DL365 and DL385 Gen11, which leverage 4th and 5th Gen AMD EPYC™ processors. Recently launched at the alfanar production site in Riyadh, in partnership with AMD and alfanar, the servers offer next-level security, performance, flexibility, and speed. Available across the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, as well as in Jordan, Egypt, and the Gulf countries, Saudi Made servers undergo rigorous supply chain and engineering reliability tests, ensuring that locally manufactured servers meet the exact same global standards for quality, performance, and reliability.
Speaking on the sidelines of the event, Mashail Alhassoun, Head of Presales, Middle East, HPE, elaborated on the local impact of the 'Saudi Made' portfolio for the Kingdom, "We’ve seen an unprecedented demand for robust digital infrastructure and compute capabilities in the Middle East, driven by key strategic investments and frameworks such as Saudi Vision 2030 and technological advancements like AI. This new server offering, leveraging the latest AMD EPYC processors, directly addresses this demand, delivering predictable high performance at scale while helping ensure rock-solid data security at every level.”
Purpose-built to manage the scale and complexity of modern workloads, these servers deliver accelerated performance for AI and analytics applications, such as computer vision inference, generative visual AI, and end-to-end natural language processing. Helping to boost data analytics capabilities and generate real-time data insights, as well as allowing for more flexible storage configurations, they are particularly well suited to smart cities and national infrastructure.
