Crown Prince Camel Festival 2025 Breaks World Record with over 100,000 Camels
The Crown Prince Camel Festival 2025 has set a new record, with the number of participating camels exceeding 100,000 on the first day alone. This achievement, at the seventh edition of the festival in Taif, adds to a series of records the event has broken since its launch in 2018.
The festival has consistently grown in participation, with previous editions attracting a combined total of 98,920 camels. This year's milestone follows the festival's 2024 recognition by Guinness World Records for the largest number of camels in a race, when 21,637 camels participated. Coinciding with 2024 being designated as the "Year of the Camel," the festival is a celebration of the animal's deep cultural significance in the Arabian Peninsula.
The festival has also been recognized with several other accolades, including four Guinness World Records and the Makkah Economic Excellence Award for 2023. These awards highlight the event's role in stimulating economic and cultural activity and reinforcing the Kingdom's commitment to its heritage and identity.
