NCVC Opens Investment Opportunities in Makkah Region National Parks
The National Center for Vegetation Cover Development and Combating Desertification (NCVC) has invited investors to submit Expressions of Interest for high-value investment opportunities in several national parks in Makkah Region as part of its efforts to advance environmental sustainability and promote nature-based tourism.
According to a press release issued by the NCVC today, the targeted sites include Al Lith National Park (A), Muftah National Park, Al-Jumum Environmental Park, Al-Buhayta National Park (Zones I and II), Khulais National Park, Wadi Qanuna National Park, Hali Rangeland Park, Wadi Na’man Al-Daiqah Park, Hawiyat Namar National Park, Taif National Park (Saiysad), Umm Al-Salam Environmental Camp (1), Wadi Ash-Shuqrah Park (2), Wadi Qudaid National Park, Wadi Wadhghan National Park, and Rabigh National Park.
The proposed investment scope spans camping, caravans, restaurants, coffee shops, seating areas, outdoor-gear outlets, safari trips, hiking activities, and retail points of sale. These opportunities fall within NCVC’s broader efforts to enable private-sector participation in developing national parks and to provide sustainable tourism and recreation options that meet visitors’ expectations while supporting environmental and economic development.
The release added that the NCVC continues to offer both long-term and seasonal opportunities to enhance vegetation cover, support greening projects and land restoration efforts, conserve natural resources, and improve quality of life, while contributing to the national economy and creating new jobs in line with the Saudi Green Initiative and Vision 2030.
