SDRPY Supports Capacity-Building for Yemen’s Sectors, Workforce

The Saudi Development and Reconstruction Program for Yemen (SDRPY) has prioritized the strengthening of Yemeni professional capacities as a key driver of development and economic growth, implementing projects and initiatives that support institutional, technical, and community-level capacity-building.
The program delivers development projects and initiatives, including training and qualification programs for workers across various fields. These initiatives are designed to transfer expertise, refine skills, enhance competencies, and support women and youth economically while addressing national needs.
SDRPY has supported the development of healthcare professionals through specialized training programs and strengthened the operational capacities of airports, seaports, and border crossings.
Its development projects have contributed to the economic empowerment of women, youth, and local communities, while also investing in human capital and strengthening the capacities of educators through a range of targeted initiatives.
In addition, the program has sought to empower the private sector, recognizing it as a key partner in the development process. By engaging Yemeni contractors, consultants, and suppliers to implement its projects, SDRPY has helped boost the construction sector, generate job opportunities, and stimulate economic activity.
The program also supports Yemeni government institutions by enabling them to deliver services efficiently and effectively, improving institutional infrastructure, and providing a suitable environment for public entities to manage and fulfill their functions.
SDRPY has implemented 265 projects and initiatives across eight essential sectors: education, health, water, energy, transport, agriculture and fisheries, capacity building for Yemeni government institutions, and development programs, covering various governorates across Yemen.
