KFSHRC Concludes Participation in HealthTech Challenge

King Faisal Specialist Hospital and Research Center (KFSHRC) has concluded its role as an organizing partner in the HealthTech Challenge, hosted by the Center of Digital Entrepreneurship (CODE) under the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology.

At the closing ceremony celebrating winners across different categories, the hospital presented generative AI awards to winning teams for their outstanding innovations using this technology to create solutions that improve digital healthcare quality and efficiency.

The three-month digital challenge focused on developing healthcare technology solutions while teaching participants the fundamentals of business modeling and product innovation principles. The goal was to build national expertise in digital health, strengthen the medical innovation field and entrepreneurship, as well as boost the digital economy in key sectors—all aimed at improving healthcare service quality and efficiency while expanding positive community impact.

This partnership is part of the hospital's ongoing commitment to supporting initiatives that bring innovators and entrepreneurs together to develop cutting-edge digital health solutions. It also aligns with its vision of enhancing efficiency, connectivity, and patient experience, as well as its leadership role as a reference institution in adopting modern technologies to shape the future of healthcare.

KFSHRC has been ranked first in the Middle East and North Africa and 15th globally in the list of the world’s top 250 Academic Medical Centers for the second consecutive year and has been recognized as the most valuable healthcare brand in the Kingdom and the Middle East, according to the 2024 Brand Finance rankings. It was included in the world's best 250 hospitals and the World’s Best Smart Hospitals list for 2025 by Newsweek magazine.
