Arab League Condemns Israeli Violations against Palestinian Prisoners

The League of Arab States condemned the ongoing Israeli violations against Palestinian prisoners and detainees in occupation prisons, highlighting the martyrdom of released prisoner Khaled Al-Saifi from Dheisheh Camp, who died after his release from the Ramleh Prison Clinic as a result of the deterioration of his health condition.
It noted that this incident represents another episode in a series of crimes of what it described as “deliberate medical negligence” practiced by the occupation.
In a statement, the General Secretariat stressed the urgent need to dispatch an international investigation committee to assess conditions inside the prisons and hold those responsible for violations accountable. It called on the international community to exert genuine pressure on Israel to ensure the provision of necessary medical care for prisoners and the immediate release of those in critical condition to receive treatment abroad.
The league concluded its statement by renewing its solidarity with the Palestinian people, affirming that the prisoners’ issue will remain an “Arab and humanitarian cause” and a top priority of joint Arab action.
