Health and Tourism Ministries Launch Joint Field Campaign on Medical Offices Serving Pilgrims
The Ministry of Health, in cooperation with the Ministry of Tourism, is conducting a joint field campaign targeting medical offices affiliated with Hajj missions operating within hospitality facilities and temporary pilgrim accommodations.
The initiative comes as part of efforts to enhance the quality of healthcare services provided to pilgrims and ensure the readiness of healthcare facilities during the Hajj season. The campaign aims to support the provision of safe and reliable healthcare services while raising compliance with approved regulations and instructions.
The campaign also seeks to strengthen integration among participating entities and ensure the legality of medical offices and their licensing procedures. It further aims to verify compliance with approved health and regulatory standards. These measures are intended to ensure the quality of healthcare services provided to pilgrims, enhance their health experience during Hajj rituals, and monitor any practices that could affect pilgrim safety or service quality.
The campaign includes verifying the commitment of Hajj missions and healthcare practitioners to health regulations and guidelines. It also ensures the availability of qualified healthcare personnel and confirms the safety and proper storage of medicines and medical supplies.
In addition, the campaign ensures the availability of essential medical equipment and the implementation of infection prevention and hygiene requirements to strengthen health and safety standards within service facilities.
The initiative also involves conducting joint field inspections, documenting findings to measure compliance levels, monitoring observations, taking necessary actions, and following up on corrective measures on an ongoing basis.
