Literature, Publishing, and Translation Commission CEO Meets Norwegian Ambassador

CEO of the Literature, Publishing, and Translation Commission Dr. Abdullatif Alwasel met today with Norwegian Ambassador to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia Kjersti Tromsdal.

 Their discussions focused on developing cultural relations and exploring cooperation in literature, publishing, and translation, including participation in joint exhibitions to strengthen Saudi-Norwegian cultural and literary ties. They also reviewed the commission's programs designed to foster cultural exchange, share expertise, and empower writers, thinkers, and translators.

 Dr. Alwasel presented initiatives aimed at building knowledge bridges, such as translating Norwegian books into Arabic and Saudi books into Norwegian to introduce Saudi culture globally and contribute to civilizational dialogue. The ambassador was invited to upcoming key commission events, including the Riyadh International Book Fair, the Translation Forum, and the Riyadh International Philosophy Conference.
