Islamic Affairs Ministry Implements Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques’ Dates Distribution Program in Sweden and Cuba

The Ministry of Islamic Affairs, Dawah and Guidance implemented the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques’ dates distribution program in the Kingdom of Sweden and the Republic of Cuba during Ramadan 1447 AH. The initiative is part of the ministry’s Ramadan programs carried out in various countries to serve Muslims and promote the values of solidarity during the holy month.

In Havana, the program was held at the Saudi Embassy headquarters in the presence of Saudi Ambassador to Cuba Dr. Walid Al-Hamoudi, along with a number of officials and Islamic figures.

In his speech at the launch ceremony, the ambassador affirmed that this generous gesture from the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques reflects the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia’s continued commitment to serving Islam and Muslims worldwide. He expressed his thanks and appreciation to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques and His Royal Highness the Crown Prince for their continued support for Muslims and commended the ministry’s efforts in implementing and overseeing the program.

The program was also implemented at the Saudi Embassy in Stockholm. A total of three tons of premium Saudi dates will be distributed, benefiting around 12,000 Muslim beneficiaries in Sweden.

The implementation of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques’ gift program for distributing dates comes within the framework of Ramadan programs the ministry carries out annually in several countries around the world, affirming the Kingdom’s humanitarian role and its commitment to serving Muslims and strengthening the bonds of Islamic brotherhood during Ramadan.
