Najran University Wins Gold and Two Silver Medals at Geneva Exhibition of Inventions

Najran University achieved international recognition after winning one gold medal and two silver medals at the 2026 Geneva International Exhibition of Inventions, one of the world’s leading exhibitions dedicated to innovation.

 The gold medal was awarded for an innovation in water purification using advanced nanomaterials, while the university received two silver medals for innovations in high-efficiency power converters and a simulation system for radiation detection and decontamination.

 The university's participation in the pavilion of the Ministry of Education aimed to showcase its research outputs, strengthen its presence in international scientific forums, expand opportunities for research and investment collaboration, and translate innovations into practical applications.

 Vice President for Graduate Studies and Scientific Research Huda Al-Yami said the achievement reflects the strong support provided to research and innovation in the Kingdom and the university’s commitment to developing its scientific research ecosystem, empowering researchers, and enhancing the quality of research outputs. She added that such accomplishments advance national development goals and align with the objectives of Saudi Vision 2030.
