The fourth round of the UIM F1H2O World Championship for powerboat racing – the Jeddah Grand Prix – kicked off on Thursday at North Obhur Waterfront, drawing large crowds and extensive media coverage.

Fans are eagerly awaiting one of the championship’s most competitive rounds. The event is part of the Jeddah Season 2025, aiming to put the Kingdom on the map for marine sports and to strengthen its reputation as a premier destination for water sports enthusiasts.

From early morning, the waterfront buzzed with activity as teams prepared for the opening day’s program, dedicated entirely to technical runs and performance testing ahead of the qualifying sessions, F1H2O practice runs, and Speed Races (1-2).

The North Obhur Waterfront, fully equipped with infrastructure that meets all requirements of the International Powerboat Federation (UIM) for F1H2O racing, includes team zones, spectator stands, and operational facilities, offering one of the most scenic settings along the Red Sea coast.

Jeddah’s hosting of the F1H2O as part of Jeddah Season underscores the city’s growing role in the international marine sports scene. It highlights Saudi Arabia’s capacity to stage major global sporting events, enhancing the tourism sector and delivering a thrilling experience for participants and fans alike.
