AlUla Hotels, Restaurants Honored in Michelin Guide 2025

AlUla continues to strengthen its position as a distinguished global destination for hospitality and gastronomy, with several of its hotels and restaurants included in the Michelin Guide 2025 — a recognition that reflects the exceptional character of the experiences offered to guests from around the world.

The achievement embodies the outstanding quality, authenticity, and refinement that define AlUla's hospitality landscape, where each property reflects the spirit of the place and its deeply rooted cultural and heritage identity, offering experiences that combine service excellence with the warmth of Saudi hospitality and the richness of local tradition.

Among the Michelin Guide Hotels, Banyan Tree AlUla was awarded One Michelin Key, a mark of distinction granted to hotels that provide exceptional levels of hospitality and service. The resort is one of the first seven hotels in the Kingdom to receive this prestigious global recognition. Nestled among the dramatic sandstone formations of Ashar Valley, Banyan Tree AlUla offers refined luxury in harmony with nature, presenting guests with a tranquil retreat that blends contemporary elegance with a deep sense of place.

The Chedi Hegra, the first hotel in the world to be established within a UNESCO World Heritage Site, was highlighted by the Michelin Guide as one of the new notable destinations in the global hospitality scene. The hotel occupies restored heritage structures, including the historical railway station and Hegra Fort, where original mudbrick and stone walls have been carefully preserved and seamlessly integrated into the hotel’s modern architectural character, offering a stay that bridges timeless heritage and contemporary comfort in the heart of ancient Nabataean history.

Also included in the guide is Dar Tantora The House Hotel, an eco-hotel located in AlUla Old Town, known for its maze-like alleyways, mudbrick homes, and prominent fortress. The hotel’s heritage buildings have been meticulously restored and transformed into intimate boutique accommodations. Dar Tantora was previously listed in TIME Magazine's World’s Greatest Places 2024, underscoring its significance as one of the Kingdom’s most distinguished heritage-led hospitality projects.

The selection also features Our Habitas AlUla, a leading destination in sustainable luxury and wellness-focused experiences, alongside Caravan by Habitas AlUla, which offers guests an adventure-inspired stay under the star-filled skies of AlUla, blending simplicity, nature, and authentic luxury.

In the Michelin Guide Restaurants category, Joontos at Dar Tantora The House Hotel received the Bib Gourmand distinction, awarded to restaurants that deliver exceptional cuisine at outstanding value. The restaurant brings together traditional Saudi flavors with contemporary culinary expression, offering a dining experience that reflects local identity through a refined and creative lens.

Harrat at Banyan Tree AlUla — celebrated for its elevated Saudi-inspired gastronomic experience — and Tama at Our Habitas AlUla — renowned for its farm-to-table approach using fresh, locally sourced ingredients — also received special recognition for their culinary excellence and contribution to AlUla's dynamic and evolving dining culture.

This milestone reaffirms AlUla's emergence as one of the region's most captivating destinations for world-class hospitality and gastronomy, set amid landscapes of profound natural beauty and heritage significance.
