King Faisal University Wins Two Awards for Excellence in Camel Research at ISOCARD 2026
King Faisal University (KFU) received two awards at the 7th International Conference of the International Society of Camelid Research and Development (ISOCARD 2026), held in the People's Republic of China from September 8 to 13, in recognition of its contributions to innovation and specialized camel research.
The university’s Camel Research Center received the Leadership in Innovation and Technology Award, recognizing its research excellence and development of innovative, technology-driven solutions for a more advanced and sustainable camel sector. Chair of the Department of Public Health at the College of Veterinary Medicine Dr. Faisal Saleh Almathen received the Young Researcher Award in Camel Research for his distinguished scientific contributions to the field.
These awards demonstrate KFU’s ongoing commitment to research and innovation in food security and livestock sustainability, reinforcing its role as a leading national university in advancing global sustainability and food security.
