Advanced Climate Control Systems Ensure Comfort for Visitors to the Two Holy Mosques

The General Authority for the Care of the Affairs of the Grand Mosque and the Prophet's Mosque operates an integrated system of engineering solutions and modern technologies to maintain a temperate and comfortable atmosphere for visitors, from the outer courtyards to the prayer halls.
 In the outer courtyards, misting fans cool the air, while the white Thassos marble flooring minimizes heat absorption, enabling visitors to move comfortably across the courtyards.
 Inside the Grand Mosque, a central cooling system with a capacity of approximately 155,000 refrigeration tons distributes cooled air at temperatures between 22°C and 24°C. At the Prophet's Mosque, six cooling units with a combined capacity of 20,400 refrigeration tons ensure balanced air distribution throughout the mosque.
