King Saud University Signs International Agreement with FIFA

King Saud University, in collaboration with the Saudi Arabian Football Federation (SAFF), has signed an agreement to implement FIFA's International Certificate in Sports Management program through the International Center for Sports Studies (CIES).
This partnership aligns with the university’s strategy—through its College of Sport Sciences and Physical Activity—to offer global conferences and programs in the sports field. The initiative supports Vision 2030 by enhancing Saudi Arabia's presence in the international sports arena and contributing to the nation’s development in this vital sector.
Acting University President Prof. Abdullah bin Salman Alsalman emphasized that the agreement aims to position the Kingdom as a global leader by localizing international sports programs. It seeks to equip Saudi professionals with the necessary expertise to advance the country’s sports ecosystem and prepare specialists for major events, particularly the 2034 FIFA World Cup, which Saudi Arabia will host.
The inaugural session of the FIFA/CIES International Certificate in Sports Management is set to launch later in 2025.
