Arab Parliament Condemns Israeli Statements on Opening Rafah Crossing in One Direction

Speaker of the Arab Parliament Mohamed Ahmed Alyammahi condemned the Israeli occupation's statements about opening the Rafah crossing in only one direction, which he believes enables the forced displacement of Gaza's residents. He stressed that these statements are a violation of international humanitarian law and a breach of the Sharm El Sheikh agreement, reflecting an attempt to undermine the Palestinian cause.
In his statement, Alyammahi warned that these actions constitute war crimes and escalate violations by obstructing aid, targeting safe areas, and expanding military operations in Gaza. He emphasized the urgent need for a complete ceasefire, unrestricted humanitarian aid access, and the resumption of Palestinian Authority responsibilities in Gaza to pave the way for security and stability in the region.
He reiterated that achieving security and stability requires respecting international agreements, ending aggression against Gaza, and initiating a serious political process toward establishing a fully sovereign Palestinian state with Jerusalem as its capital.
