Saudi Ambassador to the U.S. Attends the World Cup Draw with the Saudi Delegation
Saudi Ambassador to the United States of America Princess Reema bint Bandar bin Sultan bin Abdulaziz attended the draw ceremony for the 2026 FIFA World Cup, held yesterday evening at John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts in Washington, accompanied by a delegation from the Saudi Arabian Football Federation (SAFF), headed by Yasser Al-Misehal.
The event was attended by President Donald Trump of the United States of America, President of the United Mexican States Claudia Sheinbaum, Prime Minister of Canada Mark Carney and FIFA President Gianni Infantino.
The event was also attended by a number of senior officials, heads of national football federations and representatives of the countries qualified for the tournament.
The draw ceremony took place in Washington, ahead of the 2026 FIFA World Cup finals, which will be hosted by the United States, Canada, and Mexico.
This event is part of the organizational preparations for the largest World Cup tournament by the number of participating teams and host cities.
The draw placed the Saudi Arabian national team alongside Spain, Uruguay, and Cape Verde.
