
Environment Fund, CORDAP Partner to Protect Coral Reefs
Minister of Environment, Water and Agriculture Abdulrahman Alfadley today witnessed the signing of a funding agreement for a scientific research project between the Environment Fund and the Coral Research and Development Accelerator Platform (CORDAP), aimed at supporting research to protect and restore coral reefs through innovative scientific solutions.
This agreement reinforces the Kingdom's leadership in global environmental efforts and its commitment to sustainability in line with Saudi Vision 2030. It also reflects the ministry’s dedication to expanding cooperation with leading international environmental entities.
CORDAP is a prominent global initiative launched by the Kingdom during its 2020 G20 presidency to accelerate research and development for coral reef protection. Based at King Abdullah University of Science and Technology, it supports and funds scientific projects worldwide.
