Saudi Reef Boosts Fruit Production to 367,000 Tons, Drives Rural Growth

The Sustainable Agricultural Rural Development Program (Saudi Reef) has boosted the Kingdom fruit production to nearly 367,000 tons by the end of 2025, delivering over SAR330 million in direct support to 12,400 beneficiaries in line with Saudi Vision 2030 food security goals.

 The April-to-August mango harvest generated 31,000 tons from supported small producers alone, revitalizing local markets and rural agritourism.

 Achieving 88% of its fruit sector targets, the program planted 21 million trees for the Saudi Green Initiative and improved water efficiency to 90%. By providing farmers with technology, guidance, and exhibition platforms, the program accelerates supply chains and product quality.

 Across all eight sectors, Saudi Reef has contributed SAR9 billion to GDP, benefiting over 90,000 people—including 65,000 women—while advancing sustainable rural development.
