Communications Minister Highlights Saudi Role in Digital Transformation at FII PRIORITY Summit

Minister of Communications and Information Technology Abdullah Alswaha has emphasized Saudi Arabia’s position as a strategic partner for the United States and the world in bridging digital gaps and leading the transition to the smart era.

During his address at the third edition of Future Investment Initiative (FII) PRIORITY Miami Summit in the United States, held under the theme “Invest with Purpose,” Alswaha spotlighted the Kingdom's ambitious vision to enhance global cooperation in artificial intelligence and emerging technologies.

The minister commended Vision 2030, launched by His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Crown Prince and Prime Minister, as “the most successful success story in the 21st century.” He noted that Saudi Arabia's digital economy has reached approximately $132 billion, accounting for more than 50% to the MENA region's digital economy of $260 billion.

Alswaha highlighted the growth of the tech talent pool in the Kingdom from 150,000 to 381,000 professionals, reflecting rapid advancements in technology and innovation. Moreover, he noted the attraction of major global investments from companies such as Oracle, Google, and Microsoft, positioning Saudi Arabia as one of the fastest-growing tech hubs globally.

Alswaha urged the world to view Saudi Arabia as the ideal partner for accelerating the adoption of artificial intelligence, expressing confidence that international collaboration can overcome challenges and achieve sustainable productivity in this field. He lauded the FII for bringing together thought leaders and investors to shape the future of technology.
