Saudi National Day feature Powering the Kingdom’s Digital Ambitions
Saudi Arabia’s bold strides in artificial intelligence and digital transformation are reshaping the Kingdom’s economy and society at an unprecedented pace. From nationwide strategies prioritizing AI and cloud adoption to large-scale investments in digital infrastructure, the momentum is clear. Mohamed Talaat, Dell Technologies’ Vice President, Saudi, Egypt, North Africa & Levant (SENAL), shares how Dell has been closely involved in the Kingdom’s journey, supporting organizations across Saudi Arabia as they innovate, modernize and prepare for the future.
For close to 30 years, Dell Technologies has maintained a strong in-country presence, expanding its footprint to meet the demands of a fast-evolving digital economy. AI has emerged as a defining technology in this new era, and Dell is uniquely positioned at the core of data-intensive solutions that enable adoption at scale. Its AI Factory brings together the industry’s broadest portfolio of hardware, software, and services, simplifying implementation and helping organizations move from experimentation to measurable results.
“Saudi Arabia is at a pivotal point in its digital journey, and Dell Technologies is proud to contribute to this transformation,” says Mohamed Talaat, Vice President, Saudi, Egypt, North Africa & Levant (SENAL) at Dell Technologies. “Our focus is on building resilient infrastructure, advancing AI adoption and investing in local talent, all essential to achieving the Kingdom’s long-term ambitions.”
Investing in Infrastructure
Dell’s commitment extends beyond technology delivery. In 2024, the company announced a multi-million-dollar investment to strengthen local operations and supply chain resilience. This vision materialized with the opening of a new Merge & Fulfilment Center in Dammam, a state-of-the-art hub that reinforces the company’s commitment to Saudi Vision 2030 in driving economic diversification through technological innovation.
The relocation of Dell’s Flat Panel Monitor Hub to Dammam further enhanced efficiency, cutting delivery timelines to as little as two days. These developments not only improve customer service but also strengthen the Kingdom’s ICT sector by creating jobs, fostering innovation, and supporting the local economy.
Developing Talent for the Digital Future
Equally critical is equipping the workforce with future-ready skills. Dell has taken an active role through initiatives such as ITXcelerate, created with the National IT Academy and Aramco. The 18-week program provides graduates with globally recognized certifications in Information & Storage Management and Data Science & Big Data Analytics, complemented by real-world use cases and job-shadowing experiences. These efforts underscore Dell’s commitment to nurturing the next generation of Saudi technology leaders, ensuring they are well-prepared to drive innovation and contribute meaningfully to the digital economy.
Pride and Progress: Saudi National Day
The 95th Saudi National Day, celebrated under the theme “Pride in Our Nature”, highlights the Kingdom’s deep cultural heritage, rich natural environment and its ambition to scale new heights. It is also a call to embrace progress while staying true to identity and values.
“Just as this year’s theme honors the Kingdom’s unique character, we at Dell are proud to contribute to a future where technology strengthens what makes Saudi Arabia special; its people, its vision, and its potential,” adds Talaat. “On this National Day, we reaffirm our commitment to enabling innovation, creating opportunities and supporting the Kingdom’s journey toward a sustainable, digitally empowered economy.”
As Saudi Arabia accelerates its focus on AI, cloud, and secure digital infrastructure, Dell Technologies remains committed to supporting this journey with resilient local operations, long-term investment, and talent development.
