Wrth Institute Celebrates National Day through Traditional Arts during Football Games
The Royal Institute of Traditional Arts (Wrth) participated in the Kingdom's 95th National Day celebrations by showcasing traditional Saudi arts with a modern touch during the Round of 32 of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques Cup and the Saudi Pro League for the 2025–2026 football season, where sports became a platform for expressing national identity.
Wrth's students demonstrated their creativity through various handcrafted items. The event featured handcrafted pottery cups and a brooch inspired by the Saudi bisht in the analytical studio. On the field, corner flags were decorated with national designs, reflecting the diverse cultural and artistic identities of the Kingdom's regions.
This initiative aligns with the Year of Handicrafts and underscores the Kingdom's commitment to culture and arts as a core part of its national identity. It also highlights the growing role of sports as a platform for fostering a sense of belonging and enhancing Saudi Arabia's global image.
