Culinary Arts Commission Takes Part in Intangible Cultural Heritage Committee Session in Paraguay
The Culinary Arts Commission is taking part in the 19th session of the Intergovernmental Committee for the Safeguarding of the Intangible Cultural Heritage of the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO), held in Paraguay's capital, Asuncion, to celebrate the registration of the Taif rose on UNESCO's list of Intangible Cultural Heritage.
The commission has prepared a special pavilion that highlights various aspects of culinary arts associated with the Taif rose, renowned as one of the finest types of roses in the Kingdom, thereby offering visitors an exceptional cultural experience.
The pavilion provides a distinctive experience featuring beverages and sweets inspired by Taif roses, showcasing the heritage that embodies the Saudi national identity while celebrating global cultural diversity.
By engaging in this initiative, the Culinary Arts Commission aims to emphasize the significance of preserving the Kingdom's natural resources. It concentrates on sustainable environmental practices associated with the cultivation and production of Taif roses while promoting the marketing of local products both domestically and internationally. This approach not only elevates the Kingdom's status as a provider of valuable agricultural goods but also encourages investments in the national agricultural sector.
