Health Ministry Launches Electronic Prescriptions for Narcotic Drugs, Controlled Medications

The Ministry of Health has launched a national platform for prescribing, dispensing, and regulating narcotic drugs, psychotropic substances, and controlled medications, as well as fully digitizing the dispensing of paper prescriptions.
 This electronic system enhances user safety by enabling organized monitoring and tracking of these medications. Beneficiaries can access and download their electronic prescriptions in PDF format through the Sehhaty application, strengthening regulatory coordination across health facilities nationwide.
 The transition from a paper system to a unified electronic system is part of the ministry's digital transformation efforts under the framework of the Health Sector Transformation Program, which will contribute to achieving the goals of the Saudi Vision 2030.
