Formula E Announces Free Practice Session for Beginners at Jeddah E-Prix
The Formula E World Championship, organized by the ABB Fédération Internationale de l'Automobile (FIA), has announced the launch of a free practice session for beginners at the Jeddah E-Prix, scheduled to take place from February 14 to 15.
The practice session, set for Thursday, February 13, will run for 40 minutes and provide experienced drivers from other motorsport championships—who have not previously competed in Formula E—the opportunity to test the cutting-edge GEN3 Evo car. Participating teams are required to nominate a driver and assign a race car number seven days before the event.
This initiative follows the success of the pre-season tests for female drivers held in Madrid, further reinforcing Formula E and FIA’s commitment to fostering diversity and inclusivity in motorsports.
Formula E Championship co-founder and CEO Alberto Longo highlighted the significance of this opportunity, stating that allowing young drivers to experience the GEN3 Evo car will offer them valuable exposure while contributing to the development of future Formula E stars and the broader motorsport industry.
