
Industry Minister Concludes Official Visit to Kuwait
Minister of Industry and Mineral Resources Bandar Alkhorayef has concluded a two-day official visit to Kuwait, during which he discussed enhancing bilateral economic relations, strengthening cooperation in the industrial sector, and attracting quality investments to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
During the visit, the minister led the Kingdom’s delegation to the 54th meeting of the Industrial Cooperation Committee of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries.
Minister Alkhorayef also participated in a consultative meeting that brought together the ministers of trade and industry and the heads of federations and chambers of the GCC countries. Both meetings emphasized the importance of unifying efforts for industrial integration within the Gulf and facilitating intra-GCC trade to support sustainable economic development.
This visit also included separate bilateral meetings with Minister of Commerce and Industry Khalifa Abdullah Al-Ajeel and Minister of Oil Tareq Sulaiman Al-Roumi.
The ministers discussed mutual opportunities in the industrial sector, including petrochemical production, and stressed the need to expand cooperation and industrial integration. They also addressed the importance of supporting trade and joint investments to foster economic growth and diversification in both the Kingdom and Kuwait.
In addition, Minister Alkhorayef met with Kuwaiti businessmen in a meeting organized by the Saudi Embassy in Kuwait to showcase quality investment opportunities in the industrial and mining sectors in the Kingdom. The meeting was attended by Saudi Ambassador to Kuwait Prince Sultan bin Saad bin Khaled.
The minister’s visit aimed to strengthen industrial cooperation and integration while attracting mutual investments in the industrial and mining sectors, in line with the goals of Saudi Vision 2030 to transform the Kingdom into a leading industrial power and a global mining hub.
