Commerce Ministry Amends Five Regulations in 2024 to Enhance Legislative Framework

The Ministry of Commerce has boosted its legislative framework in 2024 by issuing and amending five regulations and bylaws aimed at enhancing confidence in the commercial environment.
These included the issuance of the Law of Commercial Register, the Trade Names Law, amendments to the Law of Precious Metals and Gemstones, revisions to the Executive Regulations for Private Laboratories, and the issuance of the Executive Instructions for the Application of Penalties for Violations Relating to the Competence of the Ministry of Commerce.
In line with the principles of transparency and fostering a culture of public consultation and participation, the ministry publishes all regulations and bylaws on the "Istitlaa" (public consultation) platform before their issuance to allow the public, government entities, and the private sector to provide feedback and suggestions for their development prior to approval.
