Riyadh International Book Fair 2025: A Global Nexus of Culture and Ideas

The Riyadh International Book Fair 2025, concluding tomorrow at Princess Nourah bint Abdulrahman University, is more than a book market; it is a vibrant cultural spectacle where languages from around the world converge, fostering dialogue and illuminating diverse intellectual paths while making the capital a true beacon of knowledge.

The fair highlights significant international participation, with China commanding attention through its distinctive pavilion, centrally located and marked by bright red colors. The pavilion offers a rich cultural experience, showcasing the depth of Chinese literature, history, thought, and arts. It features a wide range of publications translated into Arabic and English, introducing ancient and contemporary Chinese civilization through books, visual presentations, and live literary encounters.

Sweden remains a favorite among families, thanks to its popular 500 Facts series. These books present concise, simplified scientific information suitable for children aged eight to nine, while still engaging for adults. Scientific encyclopedias covering topics such as facts, chemistry, and the environment are also highly sought after.

The UK pavilion showcases its renowned literature, presenting literary and intellectual novels that have successfully crossed cultural boundaries. Visitors are flocking to the author signing area for direct interaction with their favorite writers.

In every corner, the book fair underscores Riyadh’s passion for knowledge, building bridges between people and civilizations. The event serves as a powerful platform for intellectual and cultural exchange, attracting writers, thinkers, and book lovers from both inside and outside the Kingdom.

Beyond sales, the fair offers a diverse cultural program that includes seminars, dialogue sessions, poetry evenings, and workshops, as well as interactive artistic and theatrical performances held across various publishing houses, featuring international artists and theater professionals.
