
'Aseer Innovates 2025 Hackathon’ Starts
Aseer Innovates 2025 Hackathon, organized by Aseer Development Authority and hosted by King Khalid University in Al-Faraa, began today. The event runs from August 14 to 16, with wide participation from innovators, entrepreneurs, and technology enthusiasts from across the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
The hackathon targets entrepreneurs, programmers, companies, innovators, and students from both public and higher education. It aims to develop practical solutions to challenges in transportation, tourism, investment, and environmental sustainability, using emerging technologies such as artificial intelligence, the internet of things, and augmented reality to advance sustainable development in Aseer Region and support its vision.
The program features workshops, panel discussions, and an accompanying exhibition with 12 pavilions showcasing opportunities in technology, entrepreneurship, and startups, as well as networking spaces with government representatives and partners.
The three-day hackathon seeks to drive digital transformation in Aseer Region, foster innovation and entrepreneurship, attract national talent, and strengthen the region's position as a regional hub for innovation.
