The Ministry of Industry and Mineral Resources participated in the World Battery and Energy Storage Industry Expo (WBE 2025), held in Guangzhou, China, from August 8 to 10, 2025, showcasing the development journey of Saudi Arabia’s mining and minerals sector and highlighting promising investment opportunities in the Kingdom.

The participation underscored the Kingdom’s efforts and initiatives to accelerate transformation in the mining sector, maximizing its contribution to economic diversification. It also highlighted the critical role of strategic minerals and battery materials in enabling advanced industries and supporting industrial transformation.

During the expo, the ministry hosted a promotional seminar that outlined investment opportunities in key battery materials such as lithium, graphite, and nickel, as well as prospects within the electric vehicle industry in Saudi Arabia.

The seminar also introduced the advantages of Saudi Arabia’s mining investment environment and the incentives and enablers available to facilitate investors’ journey.

The ministry extended an invitation to officials, investors, and mining companies to attend the fifth edition of the forum, which will be hosted in Riyadh in January next year.

On the sidelines of WBE 2025, the ministry held a series of meetings with leading global companies in the battery sector, discussing ways to enhance mining cooperation and exploring promising joint investment opportunities.

The ministry’s pavilion attracted significant attention from visitors, battery industry leaders, and stakeholders interested in investment opportunities in the Saudi mining and mineral sector, reflecting global investors’ confidence in the Kingdom’s mining investment environment.
