On 95th National Day, Human Resources Ministry Highlights 2025 Achievements

Marking the 95th Saudi National Day, the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development showcased a series of notable and sustainable achievements made in 2025. The ministry reaffirmed its commitment to advancing the objectives of Vision 2030, enhancing quality of life, and empowering Saudis in the labor market.

The ministry noted that the Kingdom’s achievements this year have received strong international recognition. The International Monetary Fund (IMF) commended Saudi Arabia for reducing unemployment among citizens to below 7 percent in the first quarter of 2025, alongside improvements in employment indicators and higher female participation in the labor force.

Supported by Saudization initiatives, the number of Saudis employed in the private sector has reached 2.48 million, both men and women. Notably, 269 decisions were issued to localize professions in cooperation with supervisory bodies including the Ministries of Health, Commerce, and Municipalities and Housing, generating thousands of job opportunities, strengthening job stability, and enhancing labor market competitiveness.

On women’s empowerment, the ministry reported that female economic participation has risen significantly from 17% in 2017 to more than 36% today. Women now hold 44.1 percent of middle- and senior-level leadership positions, up from 28.6 percent in 2017, underscoring the success of national initiatives aimed at supporting women and reinforcing their role in economic development.
