Saudi Arabia Expands Healthcare Access, with Services Covering 97% of Population Centers

The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia continues to expand access to healthcare services across its regions, with healthcare coverage reaching 97% of population centers.

This progress reflects ongoing efforts to develop the healthcare system, improve the efficiency and quality of its services, and facilitate access for beneficiaries, in line with the objectives of the Health Sector Transformation Program.

The healthcare system is supported by an integrated network of 20 health clusters across the Kingdom, around 2,000 primary healthcare centers and 44,000 hospital beds distributed across its cities and regions.

The Seha Virtual Hospital (SVH) further expands geographical access to healthcare, having served more than 365,000 beneficiaries.

The Sehhaty platform has facilitated access to healthcare services, handling more than 30 million appointments, providing six million instant consultations and offering 74 digital services.

Meanwhile, 90% of patients receive emergency or urgent care within four hours, while the intensive care bed rate stands at 15 beds per 100,000 people.
