Al-Khasha in Makkah Turns Green After Rainfall

Wide areas of Al-Khasha, in Wadi Numan southeast of Makkah, have turned green after recent rainfall in the holy city and surrounding areas. Wild grasses have spread across valleys, ravines, and mountain slopes, attracting residents and outdoor enthusiasts as temperatures have become milder.

Al-Khasha's terrain combines flatlands and mountain elevations interspersed with slopes and rocky formations. Following rainfall, water flows through valleys and ravines, while vegetation cover varies in density from one area to another depending on soil conditions and locations where water collects.

Visitors, nature enthusiasts, and families are heading to Al-Khasha to take advantage of the mild weather and green landscape and enjoy time outdoors. They walk through green spaces and among rocky formations dotted with grass, and use open areas as places to sit during their outdoor trips. They also take photographs and record videos to document the greenery across the area and the flow of water through valleys and ravines following the rainfall.

With its diverse terrain, Al-Khasha highlights the environmental and tourism potential of the natural areas surrounding Makkah. Rainfall renews vegetation across its valleys and slopes, making the area increasingly attractive to visitors and outdoor enthusiasts and creating greater opportunities for ecotourism.
