Round-the-Clock Maintenance at Prophet’s Mosque Boosts Operational Efficiency

Periodic maintenance programs and operations at the Prophet’s Mosque constitute a key component of the comprehensive service system provided by the General Authority for the Care of the Affairs of the Grand Mosque and the Prophet’s Mosque, aimed at creating a safe and comfortable environment for worshippers.

The authority implements an operational program for the consistent performance of equipment and machinery throughout the mosque, its courtyards, shaded areas, and parking facilities.

It also involves continuous field inspections of escalators, elevators, and service amenities to ensure they remain fully operational. The work also includes cleaning and maintaining the canopies and cooling fans installed in the courtyards.

These efforts also cover the maintenance of the lighting system within the Prophet’s Mosque and its surrounding courtyards, which comprises over 118,000 lighting units across 30 types.

Maintenance activities also include monitoring air-conditioning systems and conducting ongoing field inspections to ensure uninterrupted service delivery, 24 hours a day, in accordance with the highest operational standards.
