Jeddah Governor Inaugurates Al Saja Gardens

Governor of Jeddah Prince Saud bin Abdullah bin Jalawi inaugurated yesterday Al Saja Gardens, in Jeddah.

 Attending the inauguration were Jeddah Mayor Saleh Al-Turki and several municipality officials.

 Prince Saud toured the park's facilities and was briefed on this, the second-largest park in the governorate, which spreads over an area of over 60,000 square meters and cost SAR19.8 million to be established. It is part of the "Bahja Project", which aims to create an ideal urban environment for residents by creating parks that promote healthy lifestyles; the municipality seeks to expand its developmental initiatives to humanize the city and improve the quality of life.

 The park includes 20,000 square meters of green zones distributed over seven main areas, a shaded children's play area in the middle of the park on 2,200 square meters, an over 1,000-meter-long path dedicated to pedestrians and cyclists, commercial areas overlooking main streets covering 2,240 square meters, and more than 13,500 trees and shrubs distributed throughout the park.
