The Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development achieved significant milestones in 2025 that strengthened the community development ecosystem, reinforced social responsibility, empowered the cooperative sector, and expanded volunteer work, all within the framework of its strategic vision to build a vibrant and sustainable society in line with Saudi Vision 2030.
Key highlights from the past year include the launch of a national platform for social responsibility, awards for corporate social responsibility, and the International Forum for Social Responsibility. These initiatives contributed to surpassing Vision 2030 targets, with approximately 72% of major companies now running social responsibility programs and the private sector’s contribution to total social spending rising to 4.18%.
The ministry also oversaw the creation of 64 new cooperatives, raising the total to 558 across all regions of the Kingdom. Volunteer initiatives expanded as well, including programs to serve pilgrims during Hajj 1446 AH and professional youth volunteering, which benefited 5,000 young men and women in fields such as cybersecurity, professional translation, AI, and entrepreneurship.
Partnerships and agreements with governmental, private, and non-profit organizations were also strengthened to enhance sustainable collaboration, empower non-profits, support community initiatives, develop youth skills, and promote innovation and social responsibility.
These achievements highlight the ministry’s ongoing commitment to boosting the community development system, integrating sectors, and enabling cooperative work and social responsibility, thereby building a cohesive, sustainable society and improving quality of life across all regions of the Kingdom in support of Vision 2030.
