AKDITAL Begins Operations in Saudi Arabia with Opening of First Hospital in Riyadh
Riyadh, Saudi Arabia; 8 September 2026: The Ministry of Health and relevant authorities in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia have granted AKDITAL Group the necessary approvals for AKDITAL Olaya Hospital in Riyadh to commence operations, marking the start of the Group’s healthcare services in the Kingdom and the opening of its first hospital in Saudi Arabia. The milestone represents AKDITAL’s transition into active operations in the Saudi healthcare market, following its previously announced plans to invest and expand across a number of cities in the Kingdom.
The opening marks the start of AKDITAL’s operational presence in Saudi Arabia and represents an important milestone in the Group’s international expansion, as its first hospital in the Kingdom begins delivering premium healthcare services to patients in the Saudi capital.
Located in Riyadh’s Olaya district, AKDITAL Olaya Hospital has completed the licensing and operational requirements applicable to private healthcare facilities in the Kingdom. With operations now underway, AKDITAL moves from the planning and investment phase of its Saudi market entry to the active delivery of healthcare services.
The hospital represents the first phase of a wider expansion programme through which AKDITAL plans to invest up to SAR 5.3 billion in Saudi Arabia by 2030. The programme is intended to establish and operate a network of hospitals across the Kingdom, with Riyadh serving as the Group’s initial operational base ahead of planned hospitals in other major Saudi cities.

AKDITAL’s entry into Saudi Arabia represents the Group’s first operational expansion outside Morocco, where it currently manages a network of 45 healthcare facilities across 25 cities.
The Group’s expansion comes at a time of continued transformation across Saudi Arabia’s healthcare sector, including growing private-sector participation and investment in healthcare infrastructure and services. These developments form part of the Kingdom’s broader efforts to enhance the efficiency and accessibility of healthcare services and expand the range of healthcare options available to patients under Saudi Vision 2030.
AKDITAL Olaya Hospital has a capacity of 140 beds and occupies more than 17,600 square metres.
The hospital includes more than 50 specialised healthcare units, 11 operating and medical procedure rooms, more than 30 intensive care beds, and an emergency department with a capacity of 18 beds. It is also equipped with a dedicated medical imaging and diagnostic centre.
The hospital provides care across a broad range of specialties, including cardiology, oncology and haematology, gastroenterology, ophthalmology, dialysis and diabetes care. It also provides dedicated women’s health services, including maternity, obstetrics and fertility care.
The multidisciplinary model is designed to bring a broad range of medical services together within a single facility, supporting continuity of care and providing patients with access to specialised diagnosis and treatment.
The Group intends to adapt this experience to the specific requirements of the Saudi market, supporting its longer-term objective of contributing to the development of high-quality private healthcare capacity in the Kingdom.
With Riyadh serving as its first international operational base, the opening also marks a new chapter in the growth of the Moroccan-founded healthcare group as it pursues a broader regional expansion strategy.
